On Sunday we took Ryland to Cirque de Solei. He was a little scared at first with all the weird looking characters and loud music and wanted to go home. But after getting a pep talk from his dad - he realized the he was "tough" and did great the rest of the show. The other day when Kyla was crying, he came up to her and said "Kyla don't cry - your TOUGH!!!!!!" and flexed his muscles. How's that for some brotherly advice?
The latest issue with Ryland is that he is starting to get scared of the dark. He sleeps with a night light on but always makes comments about how he doesn't like the dark at bedtime. He loves ready the Berenstain Bears or Dr. Seuss books - and requests them EVERY night. It's funny how they get into a routine and want the same thing every night or perhaps Ryland is just OCD :) He has to have his glass of water beside his bed, his favorite books read, the mobile on, his blankets laid over him just the right way, and the door cracked.
Other news...Kyla slept a full 7 hours last night - yey! We're getting ready for Thanksgiving. Megan/Peter and Gina/Matt are all driving in within the next two days. We're all looking forward to seeing them and having them meet Kyla!

What is it about boys and their forts? I love reading about Ryland and what he's into. You do a great job with your blog!
Beau and Louie call there forts "hide-outs." Rylands looks extra tall and fun!
