Spring Break

We've had a pretty busy week here trying to keep the kids occupied over Spring Break. Since we didn't get a chance to go out of town - we decided to do a bunch of fun things locally. The weather has been kind of crazy - we started off in the mid 70's and ended with a the biggest snow storm this season. Spring Break was extended 1 day and the kids were able to enjoy a fun day of sledding and sunshine before going back to school.

Hiking - we took the kiddos on a hike one day through the Granite Dells. They had fun skipping rocks and just exploring the surrounding areas.

Anthem Train Park - we drove down to Anthem for the day to enjoy the beautiful weather. The kids had a blast feeding the ducks and playing at the park.

Hotel Stay - on St. Patty's Day we took the kids on an overnight stay at a local hotel. They thought it was awesome that we all got to sleep in the same room, stay up late watching movies and swim in the pool the whole day. That night we got hit with the big snow storm which caused a blackout in the entire hotel and the surrounding areas. Luckily it was bedtime anyway and the kids didn't even notice. The kids did great minus Reid waking up at 4 in the morning and then Kyla at 6 for her morning poop :)

Snow Day - Spring Break was extended one more day due to the snow storm. It's actually pretty funny that all the schools closed in our area - the weather was beautiful, blue skies and sunny all day. This will probably be our last bit of snow for the year so it was nice that the kids could enjoy it before the warm weather comes our way.
