A Visit From Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa came up for a visit this weekend to meet Kyla. They loved holding their little great grand daughter. She actually woke up for a brief period for a feeding but other than that - she slept the whole time :(

Today Kyla had her two week doctors appointment. She is back up to her birth weight - 8 lb 8 oz - she is considered to be in the 50% for her weight and height. The doctor said she is doing great and looks very healthy. We still need to wake her every 5 hours at least at night for feedings but we should be able to let her sleep through the night in a few weeks he said. Last night she was back on a 3-4 hour feeding interval - I'm hoping for another 5 hour tonight - we'll see. Other than that, I've discovered that she does not do well with spicy food but so far the chocolate in-take still seems to be cooperating with her (lucky me)!

Ryland is doing great and is just full of energy lately. Not sure if it's the Halloween candy, or the fact that Kyla is so laid-back and always sleeping that he seems like a fart in a frying pan next to her. He's still very sweet when it comes to taking care of his baby sister. If she's crying - he'll come over and "shush" her until she calms down and at night he wants to sleep with his door cracked so he can hear her if she starts crying. So cute :)
