Random Pics

Life has been extremely busy over here the past few weeks. Mainly we're just trying to adjust to new schedules, school between Ryland and Kyla, soccer season beginning and work picking up. Kids are all doing great and just growing up way too fast. They are enjoying the cooler weather we've been having and have spent alot more time outdoors playing. Here are a few updates.

TEAM LIGHTNING

Soccer season has begun again and Ryland is having a blast playing with all his friends. Just like last year, he's definitely in it for more of the social aspect and is still mainly interested with the snacks over scoring goals. He's had 2 games so far and is starting to be more aggressive on the field so we'll see! Ryan is coaching again for the 3rd year in a row.

Beau, Ryland and Carter

Reid - Reid is now 17 months and finally walking all over the place. He has become very independent and wants to do everything just like Kyla and Ryland. He just went through a rough patch of teething with all his back molars coming through. He literally ate only cheese and drank milk all day. He's quite the "little" guy compared to some of his friends and even when comparing him to Ryland at that age. He's going to have to gain a few pounds in order to fit into Ryland's hand-me-downs. Reid loves reading books and learning about animals. He still throws his sippy cup full of milk across the room when he's done drinking - spilling milk everywhere. He can point to his diaper and plug his nose when he's gone poop. He loves to play outside, dig in the sand box and climb up on tables and slides. He gives the sweetest, wet kisses and loves to cuddle before bedtime.

Kyla - Kyla is going to be turning 3 next month! She just started pre-school and is loving the whole school atmosphere and being with her friends. She's "miss social" and I have already heard many comments on how she is so different than Ryland was in school. She loves to color and can amazingly stay in the lines already - something Ryland just learned how to do this past summer. She would prefer doing crafts and reading books over learning her alphabet and going through flash cards. After playing several rounds of Candyland, she finally learned all her colors. It's her new favorite game and she carries it everywhere with her. Her favorite shows are Curious George and Word World (just like her bro). She has started playing dress up and loves to have her nails painted. Her new thing is her obsession with changing her underwear and brushing her teeth (she brushes about 4 times a day and changes her underwear about 5 times). She definitely my silly girl who loves to talk and have fun all day long!

Ryland - Ryland is doing great at school! He has already earned several buttons for his backpack (his flare) by learning his letters, their sounds and now reading words. He loves writing and walks around the house with a pad of paper and pencil and tries to copy words that he sees. His favorite thing to do in the evenings is riding his bike with Ryan around the neighborhood. He's still interested in lizards, snakes and bugs and just recently learned about the Gila Monster!
