Kyla's 1st Birthday!

Our little girl finally turned one! We celebrated the big event by having a family dinner with Grammy and Poppy. Overall the night was a success, we had a few tears (she didn't like her party hat), a big sugar high and a happy little girl who loved her new baby and stroller.

It's been an incredible year having Kyla in our lives. I never thought having a little girl would be so fun. She is such a happy baby and it's pure joy to be around her. Her smiles with her scrunchy nose are infectious - anybody that sees her has to stop to comment on what a happy little girl she is. She loves finally being mobile and getting around everywhere that her brother does. She's taken a few hard hits (notice the bruises on her forehead) but is such a tough girl. She does have a sweet side to her as well and loves to give kisses and cuddle (when she's in the mood). She has quite the appetite and eats just about everything with her one little tooth. She loves flipping pages on her books and dancing to music. She hates diaper changes, drinking her milk out of a sippy, and getting toys taken away from her by Ryland. We can't wait for this next year and seeing more of her personality coming through.

She loved her cake and dipping her fingers in the frosting. She was one gooey, sticky mess - so she got a bath from Grammy before opening up a few gifts. She loved her little baby and stroller that she got from her Babcia and Dziadzu as did Ryland. Needless to say, we are really struggling with sharing - that has been the challenge of the week.
